Regular pay = min(hours, threshold) × rate. OT pay = max(0, hours − threshold) × rate × multiplier.

What's the standard OT multiplier?

In the US, 1.5× the regular rate over 40 hours/week (FLSA). Some states or contracts use 2× for double-time after a higher threshold.
