Frequently asked

Biweekly = every 2 weeks (26 paychecks/year). Semimonthly = twice a month (24 paychecks/year, usually 1st/15th).

Why does biweekly give a slightly higher monthly equivalent?

Two months a year have three biweekly paychecks. Most cash-flow tools normalize biweekly ÷ 2 ≈ weekly × 2.

Are taxes included?

No — these are gross figures. For take-home estimates use the Paycheck Calculator.
